This is the fourth iPad scribble towards the exhibition Room with a View. So far only two have been developed into oil paintings. But it’s good to get the idea down when it occurs to me , as I can then have it grow in my mind till I’m free to go for it in oil....Really looking forward to develop this into the real thing!

Portrait of the coffee drinker
This oil portrait of the coffee drinker morphed out of the earlier iPad scribble portrait.
More and more I am enjoying doing a trial iPad scribble before I launch into the real thing. Sometimes I like the scribble better!
Now that you see the scribble which one do you prefer?
Same completion, edited entry.
Another competition, this time the Moran Portrait Prize.2019.
I’m being pedantic but I looked at the final entry and thought I looked as if I had a five o’clock shadow, so worked on it for another couple of hours. This is the final final image I’ve submitted to the Moran competition. Have to let it go now....
Thats it, signing off now! Mary
Another competition, this time the Moran Portrait Prize.2019.
It seems I can’t help myself. The email comes through promoting the 2019 Moran Prize and I think “ $150,000, that would be handy, worth wasting two days doing a quickie.” This time a self portrait, as I’m always available to pose. Plus I feel no compulsion to flatter, so I’ll call it “ Warts n All “. This is how I started, now i wonder if I should have left it as an oil sketch and called it “ The Green Woman “. However I kept going and now it looks like this.....
No going back now, this is the entry, “Warts ‘n All”......
